baby steps

finally got a brief clip of her walking! this is the path she's most comfortable with up to this point - the fireplace to coffee table - other than this, she's only getting a few steps in here & there. she just doesn't know that she can do it yet. we've learned not to cheer too enthusiastically afterwards because it scares her & makes her cry.

peek-a-boo

here's some video love for you, since i'm going to be "offline" for the next few days (away from audrey for the first time...gulp!) i've been trying to get some footage of her first steps, since she's taking them now. she's not yet "all over the place" but she walks around every now & again before she realizes what she's doing & lowers herself down. i haven't gotten any good shots yet, but i've managed to get some cuteness like this in the meantime:

oh, and yes, that is a bed sheet hanging in her window. the nursery's still a work in progress... we're getting there :)

audrey's still mostly eating purees (mostly because her mother is paranoid of choking), but we're easing her into finger foods with these snacks called "graduates" that she loves.

we had a cold spell this past week, which gave audrey another chance to wear this *adorable* cardie/bootie set made by carrie!

this is the best picture i have gotten so far of audrey's new "drama queen" expression. whenever she's complaining about something or trying to get our attention, she wrinkles her nose and squints her eyes and makes little fake cry noises. it's really cute.
