now that the heat has broken, dada finally installed audrey's swing in the oak out back. now, onto fixing the grass which, as you can see, has been neglected over these hot summer months.

nanny mel heads to spain!

we said a sad farewell to mel yesterday. sad for us, especially audrey, but very very exciting for her - she's off to europe to teach english in spain for a year! we wish her all the best and are ever so grateful for all she did for our family! she took such wonnnderful care of audrey - reading and singing and teaching her to swim - and helped make my return to work, all those months ago, a much smoother transition than i ever could've imagined. she will be missed .. sniff, sniff .. but we hope to see her again soon!
